LEGO has officially announced the next addition to the Seasonal Winter Village, with 10263 Winter Village Fire Station. We’re sticking with the station theme this year, after last year’s train station – maybe next year we get a police station?
VIP Early Access is set for Thursday, 13th September and global launch Monday, 1st October. It will cost you AU $149.99 / US $99.99 / CA $129.99 / UK £84.99. There are 1166 parts in the set.
I really like the look of this one. Similar to previous years, there’s a building facade, with the back open to get access to the interior. I love the older style architecture of the building, and the big red tiled doors are a very nice touch.
There’s also some horizontal 1×1 clips in the greebling on the roof, holly everywhere, and some fencing elements as window detailing in the tower section. These have been seen before in white, in 70140 Disney Castle, but that’s it.
There’s also a light brick, hidden behind the roof detailing at the top, just under the flag. I’m not sure what it’s meant to light up. Inside, you’ll find the fire engine bay, a kitchen, bedroom and dining room (all in one), and a fireman’s pole too!
The extra builds include the beautiful classic fire engine (of which I’m a big fan!), a sled with presents, a Christmas tree, a park bench and light pole, and a pond with fountain.
There are seven minifigures included (if you count the baby as one). There’s three firefighters, one band member, one hockey player, a mum and a baby. There’s also a dalmatian!
It’s great to see the scarf element from the LEGO Ninjago Movie CMFs getting another run, and there’s a new baby print – this time with a festive design! The scarf hasn’t appeared in many sets before, so it’s fitting that it’s in this one.
I’m not sure if it’s just me, but there may be a new part hidden in the park bench. From the image, it appears that the support legs of the bench are only two plates high, but it’s one part, as there’s no joins on the long edge. If you’ve seen this part before, let me know, but it might be a new addition!
The water fountain and tree are simple but effective, and LEGO has also released some nice images of a family playing with the set, great to get an idea of scale.
You can find the very short press release below, as well as some more images of the set.
Jump aboard the sleigh and head down to the snowy LEGO® Creator Expert 10263 Winter Village Fire Station, where the holiday season is in full swing. Outside the holly-adorned building, the firefighters are busy filling the ice rink with water from their shiny fire truck while an ice hockey player looks on, and a street musician plays yuletide carols on his saxophone. Build a cute snowman with a cool top hat and help decorate the Christmas tree. Place the gifts and toys below and climb the fire truck ladder to position the shimmering star on the top. Then head over to the fire station and take the stairs to the cozy kitchen. Switch on the light and enjoy a refreshing beverage in the company of the friendly Dalmatian, before you slide down the fire pole and head back to the square for more festive fun. Fire up your imagination with this delightful LEGO Creator Expert set.
