A while ago I had the pleasure of hosting a build afternoon at my place with some of the local LEGO community. We had a big pile of parts from the new 60th Anniversary classic boxes thanks to The LEGO Group and got stuck into it.
Some of the group stuck with the instructions, while others went down the freestyle route, including me! It was great to step into the LEGO world of a kid again and just go nuts with a big pile of LEGO and see what came out.
We had a great afternoon and came out with some excellent builds! I enjoyed it so much, I thought I’d extend the fun to everyone and give you the opportunity to win one of the sets, specifically 10404 Ocean’s Bottom. Thanks very much to The LEGO Group for supplying the prize.

60th Anniversary Party Competition
- Build something around a party theme – it can be a party itself, or something you’d see at a party.
- Your entry must be built specifically for this competition.
- The 60th Anniversary Party Competition is open to Australian residents only.
- LDD and Stud.io entries are not permitted. All submissions need to be built with real bricks.
- Take a photo of your entry and email it to bricktasticblog at gmail dot com with 60th Anniversary Party Competition in the subject line.
- In the email, include your full name, age, suburb and state or territory.
- Submit your entry by Friday 18th May, 2018, 11:59pm Australian Western Standard Time. The winner will be announced on the following weekend in this blog post.
