That didn’t take long! Another LEGO Ideas project – Boat House Diner by Robert Bontenbal (RobenAnne) has reached the 10,000 supporters mark and will be included in the third review stage for 2017, along with the magnificent Pop Up Book.
This model fits in with his Sea Front Village, so, of course there are similarities with the Old Fishing Store. As with all of Robert’s creations, the details are excellent. I particularly love the ship protruding from the building, the roofline of the main building, and the flowers on the front of the building.
However, with all it’s fantastic details, I’m not sure how it will go. I really hope it gets through, but seeing as Robert has one of his Sea Front Village creations approved and on shelves already, I’m not sure if he’ll have the honour of getting two.
If you want to find out a bit more about Robert and his creations, you can read the description for the Boat House Diner (and see more photos) at the project page, as well as checking out his 10K Club Interview with LEGO Ideas, as well as the video interview with LEGO Ideas’ Hasan Jensen. It’s well worth a watch.
What do you think of this latest addition to the third review stage for 2017, the Boat House Diner?
