Overnight, LEGO sent through a press release and details for 75144: Snowspeeder, a new addition to the Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series. There has been rumours abounding about a UCS snowspeeder, but this is the first we’ve seen that’s official.
This isn’t the first UCS Snowspeeder that LEGO has released, with 10129: Rebel Snowspeeder released back in 2003, but we haven’t seen a re-release since. As far as detail goes, there is plenty to get excited about. Two exclusive minifigures, a new windshield element, rotating weapons and air-brakes is just the beginning of what you’ll find amongst the 1,703 elements in the set. It’s set to be priced at USD$199.99. When more details of an Aussie price become available, I’ll be sure to post it.
EDIT: Just in! The Australian price for 75144: Snowspeeder is $329.99. That’s a bit more than I was expecting, but still reasonable.
The launch date for 75144: UCS Snowspeeder is, of course, May 4th, 2017, with VIP Early Access scheduled for April 29. The full press release and more images are below.

This looks amazing! Definitely getting a copy of this when it comes out. Too many stickers though!
Yeah, I have to agree, Chris. The set looks brilliant, but why does a UCS set have to have stickers? You’d think the people that buy these would be able to fork out a bit more cash for printed elements.
I’d be happy to pay more. The price is still high, but I really want the set, so I’ll pay.
