In a way, this is surprising to me, but at the same time, it really isn’t. Built by Rainer Zufall, Gilmore Girls – Luke’s Diner has hit the 10,000 supporter mark, and has become the first project to reach the second review stage for 2017.
As a hugely popular show during the early 2000s, the show was focused on Lorelai Gilmore, and her daughter Rory, who lived in the fictional town of Stars Hollow. The seven seasons had millions of regular viewers, and the four part 2016 reboot on Netflix was eagerly anticipated.
I’ve never watched even a minute of the show, but I knew it was popular. This project, though, caught me by surprise! Well done to Rainer on making it to 10K. That’s a huge achievement, considering it took around a month to reach.
The model features the diner, as well as six minifigures – Lorelai and Rory, Luke, Jess, Kirk and Lane, and looks like a similar concept to the Big Bang Theory set from 2015.
I’m very hopeful for a few projects to come in to the review stage for this period, so fingers crossed! What are you hoping will make 10K?
